Switch Over to
The New MusixMusix Player

As announced in 21 Jan 2026, we have rolled out the new MusixMusix Player (v2). We would like to bring to your attention that our old music streaming player will be fully switching over to the new MusixMusix Player on 10 March 2026. From this date onwards, all users will be directed to the new Player if not already done so. Currently the new Player can be accessed at this URL: https://v2.musixmusix.com

What you need to know

We have migrated your current login to the new Player. You may visit the new Player URL above and try to login. If you are unable to login on the new Player, please contact our support line for assistance.

Key changes:

  • The old player URL https://app.musixmusix.com will automatically open the new Player starting from 10 March 2026.
  • If the email address you used to login our old player contained a mix of lowercase and uppercase letters, it is now all in lowercase. This is inline with modern practices and to avoid confusion.
  • The new Player plays from “Play Queue”, unlike the old player plays from a single “Playlist”. “Play Queue” can be made up of a few playlists which may be organized with some nifty arrangements.
  • Video playback is temporarily disabled in the new Player because we are creating a new and better video-audio player which will provide improved audio-visual experience.

 

What’s new:

  • Queue & Schedule your playlists – yes, you can queue more than 1 playlist and even schedule a different set of playlists to start at a specific time, or play on specific days of week only.
  • Mix-in playlist for various arrangements, for example, if you want your all-instrumental Play Queue to be lively, you may mix in 1 vocal track for every 5 instrumental tracks and so on.
  • Create custom Queues for specific stores / locations to suit the demographics of your stores.
  • VO (Voice Over) insertion between music or at specific time – useful for playing your brand announcements or campaign audios without hassle.
  • Continuous improvement in system stability and smoother playback performance.
  • And more nifty features for you to manage music in your business premises.

 

What you need to do

If you have not been contacted by us to migrate to the new Player, you should:

  1. If you are using the musixmusix Android media box: connect the box to internet and contact our support line to check the player and perform the necessary migration for you.
  2. If you are using Google Chrome browser on your own computer or POS: open https://v2.musixmusix.com in your Chrome browser, replace any browser bookmark or shortcut for the old https://app.musixmusix.com with the new https://v2.musixmusix.com.
  3. If you are using Google Chrome on your own Android device, do check that the Google Chrome browser is updated to version 138 or above in order to load the new Player.
  4. If you are using Google Chrome browser, you need to grant sound permission to our site due to Google Chrome’s default content protection policy. For example, follow these steps for Google Chrome on a computer (the steps should be similar for Android devices):
        • Open “View site information” (click on the icon in front of the URL address).
        • Go to “Site settings”. Under “Permissions”, change for “Sound” permission to “Allow”.
        • Then on top of the “Permissions” panel, click the back arrow ( <- ) in front of v2.musixmusix.com to go to “Site settings”.
        • Look for “Additional content settings” and expand the section.
        • Click into “Sound (Sites can play sound)”.
        • Click “Add” button for “Allow to play sound”, then in the pop-up type exactly: [*.]musixmusix.com  and click “Add” button.
        • Close this settings tab to return to the Player tab. From now on, music will not be blocked when you open the Player in this Chrome browser.
